Generator Rebuild

May 2023, SESB Batu Sapi Power Plant, 22MW Meiden Generator (On-Site Stator Rewind)

  • Adaptive Power was selected to inspect and report on catastrophic damage to the 22MV Medien Generator at the SESB Batu Sapi Plant.

  • Adaptive Power presented to stakeholders a plan for full remedial works on the generator which included stator rewind and rotor

    refurbishment.

  • After competitive bidding process Adaptive Power were selected to perform the works and we are glad to report the machine is performing at a high level of reliability and output. The end-user team were happy that Adaptive Power could execute this complex project with precision and within tight turnaround time.

HV Motor Inspection & Repair

  • Adaptive Power provided an innovative solution to conduct the works including dismantling and pulling the rotor out vertically at site.

  • The scope of work included inspection of thrust pad bearings, rotor runout check, visual inspections, cleaning, alignment and re-assembly.

  • Hyundai has appointed Adaptive Power as its preferred services partner for after-sales support in South-East Asia.

Feb 2024, Hyundai requested Adaptive Power to perform warranty inspection and repair of 2.9MW Motor at Paluh Indar Power Plant

Retaining Ring Removal

Nov 23, Adaptive Power was invited by the Elecktro Serve (Bintulu) to perform a rotor refurbishment on GE 42MW Generator.

  • The Adaptive Power team are highly recognised for their expertise on GE equipment and best practices in overhaul works.

  • The complex dismantling and removal of the retainer ring process was lead by our senior electrical/mechanical service engineer.

  • Once the condition of the rotor was comprehensively assessed, the corrective actions to reinsulate and repair were conducted and unit reassembled.

Automatic Voltage Regulator

January 2021 Pengerang Package 33 ABB AMS Generator and Unitrol 1020 Commissioning Scope (Greenfield Project)

November 2022 TSH Bio Energy ABB Unitrol 1020 and ABB Synchrotact Commissioning

  • Adaptive Power performed commissioning on behalf of ABB.

  • AVR and Generator put online in less than 10 days after Turbine full speed.

  • Customer encountered no delays, with order paid in full without deviation/ negotiations.

November 2022 IOI Plantation ABB Unitrol 1010 GE Jenbacher Gas Engine (AVR Failure)

  • Customer claimed 2 different parties attended the issue and both recommended for a new AVR.

  • Adaptive team performed overall review of existing AVR settings and recommended new settings for the existing AVR.

  • AVR put in service with no issues reported.

October 2022 PFLNG2 Dual Channel RX3i AVR Loss of Excitation Troubleshooting

  • Customer reported issues of protection 40 LOE raised during operation

  • Adaptive diagnosed the issue at the generator and AVR

  • Replaced VT Signal card in the AVR

Immediate resource availability to support, from start till machine handover to end user.
